Pediatric School Speech Pathology | Somerville, Massachusetts Sunbelt Staffing - 3.8 Somerville, MA Job Details Full-time | Contract $33 - $65 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Master's degree Speech-Language Pathology License Full Job Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a dynamic school-based environment where you'll support young learners as a speech-language pathologist in the ASD PreK program. In this full-time contract opportunity, you'll help a small group of 6-8 students, guiding them through language development and communication skills daily. Your specialized training in speech-language pathology, especially within pediatric and school settings, will make a vital impact on students' growth and success.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders Active SLP license and ASHA certification (CCC or eligibility preferred) Pediatric and school-based experience, ideally with autism spectrum disorders Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative spirit Dedication to individualized, student-centered careKey Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services to support the communicative needs of PreK students on the autism spectrum Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs alongside teachers and other specialists Conduct speech and language assessments and maintain accurate documentation Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and family communication Offer guidance to school staff regarding communication strategies and classroom modifications Foster a supportive, inclusive learning atmosphere Enjoy a structured schedule, with staff hours from 7:45 am to 1:30 pm, allowing for work-life balance.
