Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Travel A specialized Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the 2026/2027 school year in Ludlow, MA, focusing on a unique educational setting. This position supports high school students in the Compass High Program, designed for learners with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. The program emphasizes personalized and supportive education to help students develop skills for greater independence outside traditional classroom settings.
Location:
Ludlow, MA (assignment site; client office is in West Springfield, MA)
Job Type:
Travel assignment for the school year, estimated from August 27, 2026, to June 22, 2027
Hours:
32.5 hours per week
Caseload:
High school students with a supervisory role over a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language pathology services tailored to students with ASD and other learning differences Collaborate with educational staff to design and implement individualized treatment plans Supervise and guide the SLPA to ensure effective service delivery Document progress and communicate with stakeholders to support student growth
Qualifications:
Valid state licensure and credentials as required for school-based SLPs Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Experience working with adolescents, particularly in specialized or supportive educational environments Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse learner needs
