Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid and active Maryland SLP license (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in school settings or with pediatric populations preferred Ability to manage a mixed caseload across elementary and middle school levels Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families Knowledge of IEP development and progress monitoring processes
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct therapy services to students identified with speech and language needs Conduct evaluations, assessments, and re-evaluations as required Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in compliance with state and federal guidelines Collaborate closely with general and special education teachers, administrators, and support staff Maintain thorough documentation of sessions, progress, and parent communications Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams Promote language development and support academic success across all assigned students Enjoy the stability of a full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week), working in an engaging educational setting.
