Job Description

Speech Language Pathologist 2.3 2.3 out of 5 stars When you join Calvert County Nursing Center's therapy team, you join a team that makes a real impact in the lives of the residents we serve. As a therapy provider for skilled nursing facilities, CCNC's therapists provide necessary rehabilitation services for our most vulnerable population.
Job Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist assists in planning, organizing, developing, and directing Speech Language Pathology Services in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by the Administrator or supervisor, to ensure that the highest degree of quality resident care is always maintained.
Essential Duties:
1. Provides quality speech therapy services and initiates referrals when appropriate, in accordance with established standards of practice, therapy department procedures and productivity standards. 2. Evaluates and obtains data necessary for treatment planning and implementation 3. Develops a treatment plan that includes a target list, short-term, and long-term goals 4. Instructs patient, family, and staff in appropriate speech-language procedures to allow carry over of therapeutic remediation and goals in daily activities 5. Completes compliant and medically necessary documentation from CMS expectations in NetHealth EMR systems 6. Oversees and implements proper protocols for
FEES/MBS
with coordination of site programs 7. Participants in screening protocols for establishing needs of residents are being met timely and with clinical excellence
