1 Description American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with an active MD license and
ASHA CCC-SLP
for a school-based, full-time contract position serving students ages 10-20 with Autism and related diagnoses. Details School-based setting serving students approximately ages 10-20 years old Caseload includes students on both certificate and diploma track programs diagnosed with Autism, comorbidities, and social emotional/psychological diagnoses Caseload includes both speaking students and speech-generating device (SGD) users Approximately 20 IEP service hours per week, with 10-15 hours of direct therapy Services delivered in a mix of individual and group sessions at the provider's discretion Full-time, 40-hour work week Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM 13-week contract Requirements Active Maryland (MD) SLP license required if applicable ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and related comorbidities Familiarity with speech-generating devices (SGDs) Experience developing and implementing IEPs Two professional references required for consideration Valid driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration Additional Information Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group formats Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals for a diverse student population Support students who use speech-generating devices as part of their communication systems Address speech, language, social communication, and AAC needs within a school-based environment
