Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a lasting impact in the lives of students as a long-term substitute Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school setting near Silver Spring, MD. Multiple elementary schools are seeking dedicated professionals for immediate and upcoming assignments, with opportunities to work with diverse caseloads including general education, regional program support, early childhood learners, and K-5 students. These full-time, onsite contract positions offer the chance to engage with a supportive school community and further develop your skills in an educational environment.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Valid
SLP - CCC
credentials (Certificate of Clinical Competence) Active Maryland SLP license Previous experience in school-based settings strongly preferred AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) experience is a plus Candidates currently completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) may be considered Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech-language therapy to students, addressing IEP goals and individual needs Conduct assessments and collaborate on developing intervention strategies Work closely with educators, families, and other professionals for student support Maintain accurate case notes and progress documentation Take on a caseload suited to your expertise—whether early childhood, K-5, or split assignments across multiple schools
