Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students' communication and language growth in a vibrant school setting! This contract position spans multiple elementary sites, allowing you to make a widespread impact on young learners. You'll work full-time from October 1st through June 4th, engaging directly with a manageable caseload of 35-45 students. Enjoy a predictable daily schedule—Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM—that enables you to balance work and life while fostering meaningful relationships across the school community. Bring your expertise as an SLP and put your passion for helping children to work in an environment that values collaboration and professional growth.

Qualifications & Experience:

Must hold a current SLP MD State license ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required Previous experience as a school-based SLP is highly valued Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt to multiple school sites and work effectively as part of diverse teams

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students Conduct evaluations, develop IEPs, and track measurable student progress Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success Implement evidence-based interventions, adjusting strategies to meet individual needs Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
