A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. In this role, you'll work with a diverse student population, utilizing your expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat speech and language disorders within a school environment. Your collaborative approach will empower students to reach their full communicative potential while building important relationships with educators and families.

Desired Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Prior experience in school-based settings is strongly preferred Knowledge of developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong organizational and communication abilities Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments, evaluations, and screenings of students' speech, language, voice, and fluency Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff on student progress and intervention strategies Develop and implement targeted, evidence-based therapy sessions tailored to student needs Create and revise IEPs in adherence to federal, state, and district requirements Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines Offer consultation and resources to school staff and families to support student communication goals Attend and participate in team meetings, professional development, and trainings as required This is a contract-based opportunity that's both challenging and impactful, offering the chance to make a tangible difference in young lives.
