Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a fulfilling Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity supporting students from kindergarten through 6th grade within a welcoming and vibrant school environment. This part-time contract role begins on August 24th and is ideal for those passionate about making a difference in early education. You will work directly with a small caseload of 8 to 10 students, delivering personalized speech and language services to help each child reach their full potential. With approximately 20 hours per week (potential for slight variation), this on-site position offers a manageable workload while still being highly impactful.
Desired Qualifications:
Hold a valid Speech-Language Pathology license, with CCC or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Previous experience working with school-aged populations preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, goal-setting, and progress monitoring Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet individual student needs
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy to students in a supportive elementary school setting Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP documentation as required Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to facilitate student success Maintain accurate and thorough records of student progress Enjoy the meaningful connections formed as you serve diverse learners at both Acadia Academy and in Lewiston, contributing to their communication growth and academic achievement.
