JOB GOAL
To provide for the safe transportation of students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Has knowledge of and obeys all traffic laws governing the operation of school buses. 2.Have knowledge of bus safety rules and regulations. 3.Performs pre-trip inspection procedures and informs Support Services Director of needed repairs. 4.Files complete trip reports in a timely manner. 5.Maintains the interior and exterior of bus in a clean and sanitary condition. 6.Has knowledge of assigned routes in order to recognize potential hazards and in order to drive route in a safe and economical manner. 7.Follow proper procedure for controlling traffic for the crossing, loading and seating of passengers. 8.Has knowledge of emergency procedures and use of emergency equipment. 9.Reports accidents immediately and completes required reports. 10.Implements the assertive discipline program as directed and maintains positive relationship with passengers. 11.Maintains proper driving attitude and is courteous in dealing with parents. 12.Attends training sessions scheduled by Director of Support Services. 13.Is punctual in performing assigned tasks. 14.Presents an acceptable personal appearance. 15.Maintains a standard of personal conduct and self-control that contributes to bus safety. 16.Performs such other tasks and assumes such other duties as may from time to time be assigned by the Director of Support Services.
