This contract role is ideal for those passionate about making a meaningful difference in K-12 schools, while working alongside dedicated professionals in a vibrant, collaborative environment. The assignment runs from April 21, 2026, through July 15, 2027, covering all 183 instructional days of the school year. With a manageable caseload and a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours spread over five days each week, youll have the structure you need to thrive. Candidates should bring expertise in speech-language pathology within schools or healthcare settings, comfort with teletherapy, and the ability to address the diverse needs of pediatric students. This setting encourages both new graduates ready for their Clinical Fellowship Year and seasoned Speech-Language Pathologists, as well as speech-language pathology assistants with relevant school-based experience.
Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in Maine Active CCC certification Experience with pediatric populations preferred Knowledge in SLP practice areas: schools, healthcare, teletherapy, and working with elementary and K-12 students Skillset suitable for both SLPs and SLPAs in educational and healthcare contexts
Responsibilities:
Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students Develop and implement individualized treatment plans Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educational staff and families Document progress and adapt interventions as needed Employ both in-person and teletherapy modalities, as applicable
