Overview Looking for an SLP role where your clinical expertise can make an impact across different levels of care? This Orono, Maine opportunity offers a diverse clinical environment with the chance to support residents in skilled nursing, memory support, and assisted/senior living. The community provides post-hospital and short-term rehabilitation, long-term care, respite services, specialized memory support for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, and assisted/senior living services . The facility also incorporates a Balance in Action program within its assisted living community , giving clinicians the opportunity to contribute to programs focused on maintaining function, mobility, independence, and quality of life. Competitive compensation of $39.50-$44.00 per hour Full-time 40-hour Monday-Friday schedule Weekend rotation Diverse clinical environment spanning multiple levels of care Opportunity to work with both rehabilitation and long-term residents Specialized memory support services for residents with Alzheimer's and dementia Exposure to assisted and senior living populations Opportunity to contribute to wellness-focused programming Collaborative interdisciplinary team Excellent opportunity for both experienced clinicians and new graduates Responsibilities Evaluate residents across skilled nursing, rehabilitation, memory support, and assisted living populations Assess speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing needs Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident goals and clinical presentation Provide evidence-based speech-language therapy interventions Support residents with cognitive-communication needs, including those experiencing cognitive decline or dementia Evaluate and treat swallowing and feeding disorders when indicated Collaborate with nursing, dietary, therapy, and care teams to promote safe and effective care Provide education to residents, families, caregivers, and staff Participate in interdisciplinary care planning Support functional communication and independence in daily activities Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as needed Complete required clinical documentation accurately and efficiently Contribute to a positive environment focused on resident dignity, engagement, and quality of life Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Current or eligible Maine SLP licensure ASHA certification or eligibility preferred Strong interest in working with older adults and diverse clinical populations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team Compassionate and patient-centered approach New graduates are welcome to apply What Makes This Opportunity Different?
