9687003-04281 Job Description Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting preschool students as a Speech Language Pathologist in a dynamic school setting. This role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact, working with approximately 25 children, helping them develop foundational communication skills in an inclusive and nurturing educational environment.
Qualifications:
Hold a valid Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license for the state of Maine Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience in a school setting or with preschool-aged children preferred Strong collaboration skills and willingness to partner with teachers, staff, and families Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Commitment to delivering services in accordance with IEPs and state guidelines
Responsibilities:
Provide speech, language, and communication therapy to preschool students on your caseload Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs Work collaboratively with educators, parents, and professionals to foster an optimal learning environment Maintain accurate records and ongoing progress notes Participate actively in eligibility, evaluation, and IEP meetings Contribute to a positive, inclusive early childhood program and support classroom-based interventions Deliver both direct and consultative services in alignment with school standards and protocols This position begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year, with a 32-hour workweek offering a predictable, school-based schedule.
