Job Summary Pinnacle Care of Battle Creek is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating resident needs for speech therapy, planning and executing individual treatment programs, and providing high-quality care in accordance with ASHA and SLP scope of practice. Duties Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to identify communication impairments and develop tailored treatment plans. Provide therapy sessions focused on improving speech production, language comprehension, social communication skills, and swallowing functions. Collaborate closely with caregivers and healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care and effective communication strategies. Utilize EMR/EHR systems to document assessments, treatment progress, and patient outcomes accurately and efficiently. Adapt therapy techniques for telehealth delivery when appropriate, ensuring continuity of care through virtual platforms. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and speech-language pathology best practices to inform treatment approaches. Requirements Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or equivalent credential. Demonstrated expertise in speech therapy and language therapy across diverse populations, including individuals with disabilities or speech impairments. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology related to speech production and swallowing functions. Proven ability to perform comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop effective therapy plans. Experience working with geriatric patients or in adult rehabilitation settings is a plus. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems, medical terminology, and documentation standards in healthcare environments. Telehealth experience is desirable; candidates should be comfortable delivering remote therapy sessions.
