Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Discover an opportunity to make a meaningful impact as a contract Speech Language Pathologist serving K-12 students, with positions available in energetic communities near Flint, MI. With a focus on delivering essential support to diverse student populations, this contract runs through June 2027 and offers a rewarding environment for both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows with the appropriate supervision in place.
Key Qualifications:
Active Michigan SLP license required; CFYs must hold a temporary license. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred. Must provide an official copy of university transcripts prior to submission. Experience in school-based settings and comfort working with K-12 caseloads. Understanding of challenges faced by urban youth and the ability to identify suitable resources for students and families. Preference given to onsite applicants, though skilled VOCO providers may also be considered. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students across multiple grade levels. Evaluate, develop, and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs. Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure holistic student growth. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in meetings as needed.
