What they do
A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure and
ASHA CCC
required- Previous pediatric or school experience strongly preferred
- Passionate about early childhood development and supporting communication needs
- Comfortable managing a caseload of 40-50 preschool-aged students
- Collaborative, flexible approach with teachers, aides, and families
- Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
- Clear background check results
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for preschool children
- Develop, implement, and review individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy, targeting students' unique developmental needs
- Collaborate with educators and families to promote carryover of strategies
- Document progress and maintain compliance with required reporting
