Job Summary We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to fill a 12-week maternity leave in late February near Holton, Michigan. 4-5 Days per week. In this role, you will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services within a school environment, supporting children with diverse speech, language, and communication needs. You are stepping into a full-time position with an established caseload and schedule. You will pick up where they leave off! Your expertise will help foster effective communication skills, enhance learning experiences, and promote confidence among students. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored interventions that meet individual student goals. Possible Duties Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify students' communication strengths and challenges using evidence-based evaluation tools. Develop and implement individualized speech-language therapy plans aligned with each student's unique needs, including early intervention strategies when appropriate. Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing various techniques such as articulation exercises, language enrichment activities, and augmentative communication methods. Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to coordinate care plans, share progress updates, and ensure consistency across settings. Monitor student progress regularly through data collection and adjust therapy approaches to maximize outcomes. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, treatment plans, session notes, and progress reports within electronic medical records (EMR) or electronic health records (EHR) systems. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student development, share insights on physiology and anatomy relevant to speech impairments, and support comprehensive care strategies.

Experience Preferred:

Proven experience working with children in educational settings or early intervention programs specializing in pediatrics and speech therapy. Strong background in speech-language pathology with a focus on pediatrics, including familiarity with speech-language therapy plan implementation and comprehensive evaluations. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or speech impairments across diverse populations. Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary teams such as occupational therapists, psychologists, educators, and healthcare providers.

Pay:

$1,400.00 - $1,600.00 per week
