Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid Michigan SLP license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or eligibility Prior school-based or pediatric SLP experience is highly preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students, staff, and parents Experience developing and implementing IEPs and conducting assessments Ability to work independently while thriving in a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
Provide speech and language therapy to K-12 students, delivering both group and individual sessions Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments, documenting progress and creating meaningful goals Participate in IEP meetings, collaborating closely with educational staff and families Develop personalized treatment plans to address each students unique needs Maintain accurate records and comply with all applicable state and federal regulations Actively contribute to a positive school culture focused on student growth
