A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

A welcoming public school district in the Downriver community, minutes from downtown Detroit, is looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to call their own for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full school-year contract as a W-2 employee of Sevn Workforce Solutions, with guaranteed hours, weekly pay, and a dedicated support team behind you all year.
THE ROLE
You will serve a K-12 caseload for the 2026-2027 school year, August 2026 through early June 2027, Monday through Friday during school hours. Nights, weekends, and summers are yours.
What you will do:
Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals Provide therapy addressing articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication Participate in IEP meetings and maintain documentation in line with Michigan special education requirements Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
COMPENSATION
This is a full time, W2 role with access to benefits. Pay is $72.00 per hour with 37.5 hours per week, and you choose the plan that fits your life: Local Plan Straight hourly wages, weekly direct deposit Weekly gross of $2,700.00 Travel Plan (for candidates who qualify under IRS tax home rules: permanent residence 50+ miles from the assignment with duplicated living expenses) $1,125.00 per week in taxable hourly wages $1,050.00 per week tax-free lodging stipend $525.00 per week tax-free meals and incidentals stipend $2,700.00 total weekly package; we will build your exact split with you before you accept Both plans include: Health insurance options through our ICHRA benefits program Professional liability coverage provided Licensure and credentialing support Referral bonuses
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders Active Michigan SLP license, or eligibility to obtain one before the school year begins (we help with this) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows welcome to apply School experience is a plus, and new grads with strong pediatric interest are encouraged to apply
