A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Key Qualifications:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Active Michigan SLP license (please verify status using the Michigan Department of Educations public credential search tool). Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). School-based SLP experience is highly desirable. CFs may be considered; candidates should secure supervision in advance. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Comfortable working onsitethis role will not support teletherapy (VOCO).Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on evaluation results. Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to optimize students progress. Deliver direct therapy tailored to each students unique needs, with a focus on early intervention. Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state guidelines. Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary teams, and staff development opportunities.
