Rochester, MI; Onsite - School Setting Position Summary The Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for conducting comprehensive speech-language evaluations for students referred by teachers, parents, and other educational staff. The SLP must demonstrate expertise in a range of areas, including assessment practices, instructional resources, and evidence-based intervention strategies to support diverse student needs. Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech-language evaluations to assess communication disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication skills. Interpret assessment results and develop clear, legally compliant written evaluation reports that include findings, eligibility recommendations, and educational implications. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and service delivery models to address student communication needs and support educational access. Updated June 2026 JP Provide direct speech-language therapy services in individual and group settings in accordance with IEP goals. Serve as a resource and consultant to teachers, staff, and families regarding speech, language, and communication development and strategies for support. Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices, research, and methodologies in speech-language pathology and related educational services. Participate in Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team (MET) meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, and other school-based meetings as required. Collaborate with general education and special education staff to support student progress across academic and social environments. Participate in school committees, professional learning communities, and district initiatives to support student achievement and communication access.
