Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students speech and language development in a school-based setting around the Royal Oak, MI area. This dynamic role will allow you to make a meaningful difference in students academic and social success through tailored speech-language therapy services. Work collaboratively with educators and families to help each student reach their full communication potential. Ideal candidates will demonstrate compassion, adaptability, and strong communication skills. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders while maintaining meticulous records and producing clear documentation.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or CFY supervision eligibility Valid Michigan SLP license or proof of pending application Familiarity with providing speech therapy services within a school environment strongly preferred Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills Comfortable working with students from diverse backgrounds and with a range of communication needs
Key Responsibilities:
Assess speech and language abilities to identify individual student needs Develop and implement evidence-based individualized education plans (IEPs) Deliver direct therapeutic interventions, both individual and group, in accordance with IEP goals Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed Consult with teachers, parents, and other specialists to optimize student outcomes Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams As a school-based contract SLP, youll gain valuable experience, work in a supportive environment, and help foster strong student communication skills essential for lifelong learning.
