Job Description

School-Based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Opportunity:
Clinical Consulting Associates, Inc. (CCA) is seeking part-time and/or full-time School-Based Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) to work onsite within our Southfield and Dearborn school settings for the 26/27 school year (ongoing annual agreements available thereafter). Independent contractor (1099) or traditional employment with benefits (W2) is an option available.
Responsibilities:
Work with students of various ages and disabilities, e.g. behavioral, emotional, cognitive, developmental, etc. Provide speech and language therapy, facilitation, and coordination of care/information Participate in student IEPs with team members, parents, and/or staff, etc. Engage with students, parents, and staff professionally and authentically Foster and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents Manage time effectively while meeting deadlines and maintaining independence (SLP collaboration and consultation is also available).
Assessment and Diagnosis:
Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing difficulties using standardized tests and procedures.
Treatment Planning and Implementation:
Develop and carry out individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific functional needs and goals of each client.
Therapy Delivery:
Provide direct therapy sessions (individual or group) using a variety of techniques and tools, which may include exercises for muscle strengthening, voice improvement, or using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
Student and Family Education:
Counsel students and their families/caregivers on how to cope with and manage communication and swallowing disorders, and provide strategies for home practice to reinforce skills.
Collaboration:
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team with other professionals, occupational therapists, school social workers, counselors, and psychologists, as well as administrators and teachers, to ensure comprehensive and integrated care.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed, accurate, and confidential records of student evaluations, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, and outcomes.
Qualifications :
A master's degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program. Active state license to practice. A Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is highly desirable. Essential skills for the job include strong analytical skills, critical thinking, compassion, excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), attention to detail, and a patient/student-centric approach.
Multiple Locations Available:
Southfield, Warren/Roseville, & Dearborn Pay:
$70.00 - $81.50 per hour Expected hours: 8.0 - 40.0 per week
