Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students during the 2026-2027 school year in Tecumseh, MI. This contract role offers flexibility with full-time or part-time hours, serving approximately 50 students on caseload. Experience with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices is highly valued to enhance communication outcomes for diverse learners.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist certification (SLP, CCC, or CFY credentials preferred) Prior experience in a school setting working with pediatric caseloads Proficiency with AAC devices and strategies to support students with complex communication needs Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and interdisciplinary teams Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet individual student goals and learning environments
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student goals Provide direct therapy services to students both one-on-one and in group settings Monitor progress and document outcomes consistent with educational requirements Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to optimize communication development Utilize AAC technology to facilitate student engagement and access to curriculum
