Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role as an Occupational Therapist specializing in supporting students in school settings. Your expertise will make a lasting impact as you help children achieve greater independence and reach their goals in both academic and daily life activities.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Occupational Therapy license Proven experience working as an OT in school settings or with pediatric populations Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education services Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families Ability to organize and maintain accurate records and documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments to identify students' functional needs within the school environment Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students, tailored to their educational objectives Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and at home Contribute to IEP meetings and provide thorough documentation to support student progress Educate staff members on modifications, adaptive equipment, and classroom accommodations to foster student participation and independence
