Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - SLP Job Type Contract Exciting opportunity available for a Speech-Language Pathologist to support patient care within a hospital environment. This is a 13-week assignment with potential for conversion based on performance and facility needs.
Schedule:
Wednesday through Saturday 10-hour shifts 7:45am-6:15pm (start time negotiable)
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required; Master's degree preferred Active BLS certification Previous experience in inpatient rehab or adult acute care settings preferred Skilled in adult assessments, including bedside swallow assessments or Brief Interview for Mental Status (BIM) Strong documentation abilities Effective communication and initiative as a self-starter Familiarity with Cerner and Epic electronic medical records is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized speech-language pathology interventions for adults in an inpatient setting Conduct and document clinical assessments, including swallowing and cognitive communication evaluations Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the therapy manager and interdisciplinary care team Maintain accurate, timely clinical records compliant with professional and facility standards Communicate with patients, families, and team members regarding therapy progress and goals Adapt approaches as needed to ensure optimal patient-centered results This role offers the chance to provide meaningful care while expanding your skills within a collaborative clinical atmosphere.
