Qualifications:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) Current and active Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience working in educational settings, particularly with elementary-aged children, is highly valued Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

Deliver direct speech and language therapy services in compliance with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide input for eligibility determinations and progress monitoring Collaborate with teachers, special educators, families, and support staff to create and implement effective therapeutic strategies Document student progress, maintain accurate and timely records, and participate in IEP meetings Serve both public elementary schools and non-public institutions supported by the district Foster an inclusive, supportive, and encouraging learning atmosphere for all students
