Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to impacting students' communication and language development. As a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), your expertise will play an essential role in supporting children as they build foundational skills for academic and social success. In this position, you'll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to assess, diagnose, and implement individualized treatment strategies tailored to a pediatric school-based setting. Whether you hold your CCC or are completing your CFY, your commitment and compassion will help students reach their communication goals.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure for SLP practice Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome Proven experience or strong interest in pediatric speech-language pathology Specialized knowledge of assessments, interventions, and best practices within a school or education-based environment Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for students identified with needs Develop and implement individualized Education Plans (IEPs), monitoring progress and adjusting goals as appropriate Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students in individual or group settings Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families on student progress and strategies for support Maintain up-to-date case notes, documentation, and required records according to school guidelines and regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions You'll thrive in an environment that values professional autonomy, ongoing collaboration, and the unique impact SLPs have in school communities.
