This contract position supports a specialized setting for students with Emotional Behavior Disorders, providing a rewarding opportunity to impact both academic and personal development.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required). Experience or strong interest in working with students in an Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) center-based setting. Comprehensive understanding of special education procedures, compliance, and documentation. Proven ability to support positive student behavior and foster social-emotional growth in a diverse elementary community. Passion for engaging teaching methods, particularly in mathematics, science, and engineering. Exceptional communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families. Resume and MN Teaching Certification must be provided for consideration.Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized instruction and interventions as an Emotional Behavior Disorder Center-Based Teacher for elementary students. Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, aligning with students' unique learning plans. Support classroom operations that encourage exploration, hands-on learning, and positive behavioral supports. Monitor and assess student progress, making necessary adjustments to meet academic and behavioral goals. Participate actively in professional development and school initiatives, especially related to innovative curricula in STEM fields. Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations for special education.
