A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description:
Evaluates, plans, treats and implements care for patients in the areas of speech, language, cognition and swallowing in accordance with professional standards of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) and Essentia Health's policies and procedures. Please note that this position will be split between the Polinsky Clinic at the Miller Hill Mall & Superior.Education Qualifications:
Master's degree from accredited speech and language pathology program This position will be split between Polinksy & Superior.Key Responsibilities:
Provide therapy evaluation, develop individualized treatment plans, implement evidence-based interventions, provide patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full patient caseload. Provide all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative duties Demonstrate appropriate communication , professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides , volunteers) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal clinical and financial outcomes. Work closely with Essentia Health leadership and coordinate with referring physicians to ensure cohesive patient care. Compl y with organizational policies and procedures and the code of conduct Meet professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practice Work where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allows May serve as a clinical instructor, participate in department or therapy discipline committees, and complete credential/certification that would benefit patient careOutpatient Pediatrics:
Provide high quality care to contracted partners, including schools, daycare centers, and residential care facilities. Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary team to support comprehensive patient care, including involvement in clinics, co‑treatments, and individual therapy sessions. Provide pediatric feeding interventions Evaluate and assess the need for AAC devices and assist patients and families in securing AAC devices Hours of operation are 7:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday. 2 days in Superior, 3 days at Polinsky is anticipated.Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
