A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Make a meaningful difference in students lives by providing speech and language services for the 20262027 school year! A dedicated school district is seeking a full-time onsite Speech-Language Pathologist to support students near Elk River, MN. This is a contract opportunity with a collaborative educational team, welcoming both fully-credentialed clinicians and Clinical Fellows (CFs) eager to grow their career in a supportive school environment.

Key Qualifications:

Active Minnesota SLP license required (please include a PDF copy of your license with your application) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFs encouraged to apply Previous experience in a school-based setting is valued, but not mandatory Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration abilities Passion for fostering students communication, social, and academic growth

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive speech and language assessments and interventions to K12 students Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams Monitor students progress and adjust therapy plans to align with their unique needs Provide direct and consultative services to support educational teams Maintain accurate documentation as required by district and state guidelines

Position Details:

Full-time schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday Onsite work from approximately August 25, 2026, through June 10, 2027 (student start date 9/8/2026) Serve a diverse caseload supporting students' speech and language development If you are passionate about helping students succeed and want to step into an engaging school-based setting, we want to connect with you!
