A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Position:
PRN Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)Primary Job Responsibilities:
Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient. Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records. Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs. Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) from an accredited program. Active Minnesota Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license. Experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility is preferred. #INDTHERAPYBenefits
