Children Ministry Coordinator Pine Island United Methodist Church

Collaboration:
Must be able to collaborate with Pastor and Administrative assistant as well as work with parents and volunteers- Experience or education in childcare or teaching
- Energetic and passionate about helping others grow in faith, specific theology not required but must be open to following United Methodist doctrine and working with Pastor Allison Key Responsibilities
- Sunday School Program coordination
- Leverage established curriculum for maximum impact. Collaborate with Pastor for beginning of year volunteer training and expectation setting for helpers.
- Serve as a mentor to the young people that are helping with Sunday School
- lead and guide the helpers for Sunday school both parents, volunteers, and youth group kids,
- Work with the church office to send out mailings to recruit children for the Sunday School Program
- Share communication needs with admin for sharing with the parents and congregation. Communicate with parents about the curriculum and the schedule.
- Work with the Pastor to select, order, and stock appropriate curriculum resources and supplies for the Sunday school class
- Track your participants with liability permission forms, ages, and information
- There are opportunities to collaborate with Pastor and church leaders for third grade bible dedication, Christmas program, special youth Sundays, and Vacation Bible School Skills needed Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted
