A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Therapy Works is a private practice in St. Cloud providing speech language pathology services, in conjunction with occupational therapy and behavioral health services. Indoor and outdoor expansive treatment space available. Let your imagination soar as you develop an SLP program at our multi-disciplinary clinic. Effective written and verbal communication is required. Must be able to meet the demands of a pediatric out-patient therapy caseload. This is a contract position and Therapy Works will bill insurance companies for services provided. SLP is allowed to make their own schedules with full flexibility to meet their/their families needs. Looking for a speech language pathologist two days per week, Mondays and Wednesdays Job duties: Performs evaluations, develops and implements effective patient treatment plans in the areas of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing in accordance with professional standards of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) using any established Clinical Practice Guidelines. Helps patients accomplish treatment plan, recommends necessary supplies and adaptive equipment to meet the patient's goals.

Education Qualifications:

Master's degree from accredited speech and language pathology program. New grads are welcome.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of MN.
