A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

This contract position places you at the forefront of student development, collaborating with school staff and families to support communication goals and help students succeed academically and socially. Your skills as a licensed SLP-CCC with school-based experience allow you to coordinate and deliver evidence-based interventions, complete comprehensive assessments, and develop individualized education plans. In this rewarding role, you will cultivate a supportive learning environment and advocate for each student's unique needs.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Valid state licensure or eligibility Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP processes and special education procedures Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students K-12 Design and deliver individualized and group therapy sessions tailored to student goals Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support student progress Participate actively in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and thoughtful recommendations Keep thorough, accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your practice
