9672753-63031 Job Description A rewarding school-based opportunity is available for an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) on a contract basis, serving students in a supportive educational environment. The role will span from ASAP through the end of May 2027, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours. The primary assignment is at an elementary campus, with the possibility of providing support at another school based on evolving district needs. Serving a dynamic caseload of students, many of whom are non-verbal and use AAC devices for communication, you'll play a crucial part in fostering student growth and communication skills.
Essential Qualifications:
Hold an active Missouri SLP or SLPA license. Previous experience in a school-based role preferred. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with students, caregivers, and faculty. Comfort and skill in working with non-verbal students and implementing AAC strategies. Completed fingerprinting and submission of TCN number to the district. Willingness to sign and submit required technology forms per district guidelines. Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and caseloads.
Core Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to assigned students. Develop, implement, and document IEPs and therapy sessions as required. Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families. Support communication skill-building for students who utilize AAC devices. Maintain accurate records of service delivery and progress monitoring. Rotate between 1-2 school sites if necessary, as determined by district priorities.
