Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary-age students with speech and language needs in the St. Louis area. This assignment focuses on serving students at Lemasters Elementary, with the potential to assist at another nearby school. Work closely with diverse learnersincluding those who are non-verbal and using AAC devicesmaking a meaningful difference in their communication skills.
Key Qualifications:
Hold an active Missouri SLP or SLPA license. Experience working in school settings is highly valued. Willingness to support students across 1-2 campuses as district needs evolve. Strong flexibility and adaptability in dynamic educational environments. Comfortable managing a caseload with a total of approximately 3,400 service minutes. Familiarity with or interest in supporting students using AAC devices. Completion of required fingerprinting, including submission of TCN number. Ability to sign and return district technology agreement.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech and language services to elementary students, targeting individualized education plan (IEP) goals. Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student communication outcomes. Monitor, track, and document student progress per district guidelines. Respond to caseload adjustments as requiredflexibility is highly valued. Support both verbal and non-verbal students with a variety of evidence-based approaches.
