Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description
Mercy is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. In this role, you will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and provide education to patients and families. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans. Document assessments, progress notes, and care plans in EMR systems. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff to coordinate care. Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercises, and progress. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case conferences. Contribute to quality improvement and best-practice initiatives within the department. Supervise or mentor students or new clinicians as appropriate. Maintain compliance with regulatory and professional practice standards. Engage in continuing education to support professional growth and clinical excellence.
