A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Position:

Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Setting:

Pediatric home-based speech therapy throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast/Jackson County area.

Compensation:

$48-65/hour based on experience Target starting rate: approximately $50/hour Mileage reimbursement to be included if applicable. Detailed compensation structure discussed during the interview.

Ideal Candidate:

Current Mississippi SLP licensure and appropriate credentials Pediatric experience preferred but not required Comfortable providing individualized therapy in the home environment Strong communication and caregiver education skills Reliable transportation

Position Highlights:

1:1 pediatric speech therapy in the child's natural home or community environment Flexible scheduling Localized caseload when possible Meaningful relationships with children and families Competitive compensation Administrative support with scheduling, billing, and insurance Full-time, or part-time options as applicable

Clinical Focus:

Pediatric speech and language therapy addressing communication, receptive/expressive language, articulation, feeding, social communication, feeding/swallowing as within the SLP's scope, caregiver education, and functional participation in daily activities.

Program Launch:

This is a new pediatric home-based service line. We are currently building our referral base and anticipate a start date approximately 30-60 days after hiring , depending on caseload development. Come Join SPOT!
