Job Description

Job Summary:
This position operates a bus for the purpose of carrying passengers on the fixed route service in a safe manner and in accordance with local, county, state, and federal laws as well as company policies. This is a mid-level position that requires strong independent judgment in operating the bus for the safety of the passengers and the public.
Job Requirements:
Must be able to transport the public safely, following a set schedule, and maintain vehicle reports. Must have above average communication and people skills. Must be able to work independently and meet the physical requirements of the job to include sitting for extended periods of time, lift, push, pull, move up and down stairs easily, reach overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Must be able to work under pressure and adapt to a variety of people and fellow employees. Must have a Class B License with a passenger endorsement and air brake endorsement OR have the ability to obtain a CDL. Requires a clean driving record. Must pass the company Drug and Alcohol screening test and abide by all drug free workplace policies and FTA/DOT guidelines. Must pass a pre-employment physical examination, to include a vision test. Must be capable of performing all tasks in a variety of weather conditions.
Education:
Must have a High School Diploma or
