Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our growing team at High Point Speech Therapy. Services are provided in clinic, homes, schools, and/or daycares. We are a therapist-owned practice with interdisciplinary collaboration with OT and behavioral health therapists. This is a 1099 contractor position offering exceptional flexibility. You determine the size of your caseload and create your own schedule. We currently have a waiting list of clients, allowing you to build your caseload quickly.Responsibilities:
Complete evaluation, treatment, consultation, and discharge planning for pediatric clients Develop treatment plans and establish therapy goals for new clients Documentation in EMR Detailed and thorough communication with child's parents/guardians and healthcare providers through progress reports, phone calls, or other forms of communicationEducation & Experience:
- Master's degree in speech-language pathology required NC SLP license required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- At least one year experience working as a licensed speech-language pathologist in a school or pediatric practice preferred.
- Experience with autism, apraxia, and early intervention preferred
