- You'll be included in PD and teacher work days We are seeking a dedicated and energetic School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to join our educational team and make a meaningful difference in students' lives.
In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive speech and language therapy services to children within the school setting, supporting their communication development and academic success. Your expertise will help foster an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to implement effective speech-language therapy plans that promote optimal communication skills. Duties Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for students across various age groups, including early intervention populations. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language therapy plans tailored to each student's unique needs. Deliver engaging therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based techniques to improve articulation, language comprehension, fluency, voice, and social communication skills. Collaborate closely with teachers, special educators, and other professionals to integrate communication goals into classroom activities and school routines. Engage with parents and caregivers through regular communication and meetings to discuss progress, provide guidance, and foster home-based support strategies. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for students with complex needs, including those with disabilities or speech impairments. Must have Master's degree in Communication Disorders or equivalent Must have license to practice speech therapy in NC. Experience Proven experience working with children in educational settings or pediatric clinics is essential. Demonstrated knowledge of pediatrics, speech therapy techniques, language therapy strategies, and anatomy relevant to speech-language pathology. Experience conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations for diverse populations within school environments or early intervention programs. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering remote therapy sessions effectively is highly desirable. Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams including teachers, therapists, medical professionals, and families to support student success. Pay:
