Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Make an impact supporting students' communication growth by taking on a fulfilling contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Contribute your expertise by delivering high-quality speech services in a vibrant, supportive school setting for the remainder of the school year.

Two full-time roles are available:

one in a traditional elementary school setting (grades K-5), and another in a specialized environment serving students with disabilities across K-12. Both positions offer a rewarding blend of direct therapy, assessments, and collaborative work with enthusiastic school teams. What you'll bring: Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license from the state of North Carolina Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required School-based SLP experience preferred, especially with relevant student populations Proven skill with evaluations, developing and managing IEPs, and providing direct therapy Strong communication, organizational, and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities Sensitivity and adaptability when working with diverse student needs, including AAC and adaptive communication (for specialized setting) Day-to-day responsibilities: Conduct thorough speech-language assessments and evaluations as determined by student needs Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs Deliver engaging direct therapy sessions in both group and individual formats Monitor progress, collect data, and adjust services for optimal outcomes Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other specialists to support student success Maintain complete, timely documentation according to school requirements Step into a meaningful contract position where your clinical expertise enriches the lives of students and supports their broader academic journey.
