9541856-27028 Job Description A fantastic opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) seeking a full-time contract in a vibrant school community near Mocksville, NC. Were searching for compassionate, dedicated clinicians for two immediate needs starting in fall 2026, with continuous work available through June 2027. This position offers the unique chance to support students across both elementary and middle school settings, with varied and meaningful caseloads. The role begins with a maternity leave assignment from October to December 2026, working two days each at a middle school and an elementary school and serving approximately 45 students. You'll address the full range of speech needs, including providing communication support for students in self-contained classes using communication devices. After winter break, there is an elementary caseload of about 55 students needing your expertise through June 2027. One dedicated professional could seamlessly fill both assignments, ensuring yearlong impact and continuity for students.
Desired Qualifications:
Hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active state licensure or eligibility ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; CFY candidates considered Pediatric experience, especially in school or educational settings Comfortable managing a diverse caseload and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams Working knowledge of communication devices and assistive technology
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct speech-language assessments and create individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Deliver direct and consultative therapy to students ages PreK8th grade Support students in both general and special education settings Maintain thorough documentation and comply with all regulatory requirements Communicate regularly with staff, families, and related service providers Imagine making a significant difference in students lives and gaining broad experience within welcoming schools.
