Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time opportunity offers a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours weekly, with assignment dates spanning from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027. You'll work directly with a caseload of approximately 43 students, providing high-quality speech and language services in a school-based setting.

Qualifications and Experience:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred. Previous experience in pediatric, healthcare, or school-based settings is highly desirable. Strong preference for candidates with an active North Carolina SLP license. Familiarity with IEP development, assessments, and implementing therapy plans for school-aged children. Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services to elementary students in both individual and group settings. Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to identify students' needs and update progress. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff and families. Maintain accurate, timely records and documentation consistent with school and professional standards. Participate in meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with staff and parents as needed.
