9688956-28658 Job Description Step into an impactful role providing essential speech and language support to PreK-8th grade students near Newton, NC! This contract position runs ASAP through May 2027, offering you the chance to make a meaningful difference within a vibrant educational community. With a manageable caseload of approximately 35-40 students and a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours, you'll foster communication skills that last a lifetime.
Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Excellent collaboration and communication abilities Comfortable managing a PreK-8th grade caseload
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough speech and language assessments for students across PreK-8th grades Develop and implement individualized therapy plans in accordance with IEP goals Maintain detailed records, progress notes, and required documentation Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal student outcomes Engage in direct, one-on-one and small group therapy sessions Participate in relevant meetings and contribute to an inclusive, supportive learning environment
