Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is based in Washington, NC, serving elementary-aged students from Pre-K through 5th grade. The contract runs from April 17, 2026, through June 10, 2026, covering 37.5 hours per week during regular school hours of 7:45 AM to 3:15 PM. The caseload includes approximately 50 students with a variety of communication disorders. Services will be provided across two school sites, with four days at one location and one day per week at the other, all within the same general area.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students' specific communication needs Conducting screenings and comprehensive evaluations when necessary Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to develop effective treatment plans Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services Ensuring compliance with relevant school policies and professional standards Preferred qualifications and experience: Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Experience working with pediatric populations, especially within school settings Ability to manage a large caseload efficiently and compassionately Strong communication and collaboration skills This position offers the chance to make a significant impact on young students' communication development within a structured school environment.
