9589769-68516 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity providing vital speech-language services to middle and high school students with significant disabilities. This part-time contract position is a meaningful way to make a tangible difference, working alongside dedicated educators in a school-based environment near Lincoln, NE. Over the course of the 2026-2027 school year, deliver both direct and indirect support to help students find their voice and advance their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group speech-language therapy to students with significant needs. Complete thorough assessments, develop intervention plans, and track measurable progress. Partner closely with educators, families, and support staff to create effective communication strategies for each student. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress. Participate in IEP meetings, providing input on student goals and recommendations as needed. Serve as a resource to staff and families, offering guidance on best practices and strategies for inclusive communication.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Speech-Language Pathologist license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Prior experience supporting students with moderate to significant disabilities is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills, empathetic approach, and commitment to collaborative problem-solving. Ability to provide both direct and consultative services in a school setting. Excellent organizational abilities and attention to compliance and details. This contract runs from August 13, 2026, through May 19, 2027, for 15-16 hours per week across two days, offering a flexible schedule and a chance to balance meaningful work with other commitments.
