The Speech Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with hearing, speech, language, and swallowing issues based on medical diagnoses and physician orders, adhering to accepted standards of practice. They apply growth and development principles to care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The role involves collaborating with patients, families, physicians, and staff, emphasizing teamwork and alignment with organizational values to promote hope, health, and healing. Requirements include a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology, a CCC from ASHA (or completing CFY), a valid NE state license or in progress, and BLS certification.
