Job Description

Job Summary Ambassador Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist (PT or PRN) to join our team. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will organize and provide speech-language services to facilitate patient rehabilitation, focusing on restoring, reinforcing, and enhancing communication and swallowing skills. This role involves working closely with patients to address speech, language, and swallowing disorders, promoting activities that maintain overall health within the scope of professional practice. The ideal candidate will be committed to improving patient outcomes through targeted therapy interventions in a supportive healthcare environment. Duties Assess patients' speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities to develop personalized treatment plans. Provide direct speech-language therapy services aimed at restoring or compensating for communication and swallowing deficits. Direct patient participation in targeted tasks designed to improve performance and facilitate rehabilitation. Help patients develop essential communication skills and remediate disorders related to speech, language, or swallowing impairments. Promote activities that support overall health maintenance aligned with professional scope of practice. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Document patient progress accurately and adjust therapy plans as needed to meet individual goals. Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and techniques to support ongoing improvement. Skills Valid licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in accordance with state requirements. Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. Excellent assessment and diagnostic skills to identify patient needs effectively. Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's condition. Compassionate communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage patients in therapy activities. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively within healthcare teams. Organizational skills for accurate documentation and progress tracking. Flexibility to work PT or PRN hours as needed within the healthcare setting.
